The services of the National Mediation Board (NMB) were invoked by the International Brotherhood of Teamsters on August 26, 2002, to investigate and determine who may represent for the purposes of the Railway Labor Act, as provided by Section 2, Ninth, thereof, personnel described as "Part-Time Carmen," employees of Holland America Westours.
At the time this application was received, these employees were not represented by any organization or individual.
The Board assigned Investigator Mary L. Johnson to investigate.
Subsequently, Roland P. Wilder, Jr., Esq., Baptiste and Wilder, P.C., filed a letter with the NMB which stated, "[o]n behalf of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, Airline Division, I am hereby withdrawing the Organization's accretion application assigned NMB File No. [CR-]6768 (Part-Time Carmen)."
On the basis of this letter of withdrawal referred to above, the Board hereby converts this matter to NMB Case No. R-6908 and dismisses the application.
