In the Matter of the REPRESENTATION OF EMPLOYEES of WISCONSIN CENTRAL TRANSPORTATION CORPORATION Electrical Workers |
29 NMB No. 63 CASE NO. R-6879 DISMISSAL- June 12, 2002 |
The services of the National Mediation Board (Board) were invoked by the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) on April 2, 2002, to investigate and determine who may represent for the purposes of the Railway Labor Act, as provided by Section 2, Ninth, thereof, personnel described as "Electrical Workers," employees of Wisconsin Central Transportation Corporation.
At the time this application was received, these employees were not represented by any organization or individual.
The Board assigned Investigator Sean J. Rogers to investigate.
Subsequently, Edwin D. Hill, International President, IBEW, filed a letter with the Board which stated, "Please be advised that the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers is hereby withdrawing their application for representation relative to the above-referenced matter."
On the basis of this letter of withdrawal referred to above, the Board hereby dismisses the application and closed its file subject to Part 1206.4(b) of the NMB Rules.
By direction of the NATIONAL MEDIATION BOARD.
