In the Matter of the REPRESENTATION OF EMPLOYEES of WISCONSIN CENTRAL TRANSPORTATION CORPORATION Track Welders and Helpers |
29 NMB No. 52 CASE NO. R-6886 DISMISSAL- April 30, 2002 |
The services of the National Mediation Board (NMB) were invoked by the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers, Iron Ship Builders, Blacksmiths, Forgers & Helpers (IBB&B) on March 13, 2002, to investigate and determine who may represent for the purposes of the Railway Labor Act, as provided by Section 2, Ninth, thereof, personnel described as "Track Welders and Helpers," employees of Wisconsin Central Transportation Corporation.
At the time this application was received, these employees were not represented by any organization or individual.
The NMB assigned Investigator Sean J. Rogers to investigate.
Subsequently, Joseph A. Stinger, Administrative Assistant to the International President, Director-Railroad Division of the IBB&B filed a letter with the NMB which stated, "Please consider this letter our withdraw of the above referenced application for representation."
On the basis of this letter of withdrawal, NMB File No. CR-6749 is converted to NMB Case No. R-6886 and the NMB hereby dismisses and closes its file in this matter.
By direction of the NATIONAL MEDIATION BOARD.
