The services of the National Mediation Board (NMB) were invoked by the International Brotherhood of Teamsters on July 9, 2001, to investigate and determine who may represent for the purposes of the Railway Labor Act, as provided by Section 2, Ninth, thereof, personnel described as "Pre-Board Screeners," employees of International Total Services.

At the time this application was received, these employees were not represented by any organization or individual.

The Board assigned Investigator Sean J. Rogers to investigate.

Subsequently, Ray Benning, Director, Airline Division, International Brotherhood of Teamsters filed a letter with the NMB which stated, "This letter is to advise you that the Organization is hereby withdrawing its application in the above referenced matter."

On the basis of this letter of withdrawal referred to above, NMB File No. CR-6726 is converted to NMB Case No. R-6830 and the Board hereby dismisses the application and closes its file in this matter.
