The services of the National Mediation Board (NMB) were invoked by the Hotel Employees & Restaurant Employees International Union (HERE) on March 2, 2000, to investigate and determine who may represent for the purposes of the Railway Labor Act, as provided by Section 2, Ninth, thereof, personnel described as "Hawaiian Miles Account Representatives," employees of Hawaiian Airlines, Inc.

The Board assigned Investigator Mary L. Johnson to investigate.

Subsequently, John W. Wilhelm, General President, Hotel Employees & Restaurant Employees International Union, filed a letter with the NMB which stated, "This is to advise you that HERE will not pursue representation of Hawaiian Airlines' employees . . . ."

On the basis of this letter of withdrawal referred to above, File No. CR-6684 is converted to NMB Case No. R-6753 and the Board hereby dismisses the application and closes its file in this matter.
