In the Matter of the REPRESENTATION OF EMPLOYEES of KITTY HAWK INTERNATIONAL, INC. AND KITTY HAWK AIRCARGO, INC. Pilots and Flight Engineers |
27 NMB No. 15 CASE NO. R-6711 (File No. CR-6656) DISMISSAL- WITHDRAWN DURING INVESTIGATION November 5, 1999 |
The services of the National Mediation Board (NMB) were invoked by the International Brotherhood of Teamsters (IBT) on April 9, 1999, to investigate and determine who may represent for the purposes of the Railway Labor Act, as provided by Section 2, Ninth, thereof, personnel described as "Pilots and Flight Engineers," employees of Kitty Hawk International, Inc. (KHI) and Kitty Hawk Aircargo, Inc. (KHA).
At the time this application was received, the IBT represented Pilots and Flight Engineers at KHI. The Pilots and Flight Engineers at KHA were not represented by any organization or individual.
The Board assigned Investigator Sean J. Rogers to investigate.
Subsequently, Christy Concannon, Attorney for the IBT, filed a letter with the NMB which stated, "The Union International Brotherhood of Teamsters Airline Division hereby requests that the above-captioned matter be withdrawn."
On the basis of this letter of withdrawal referred to above, File No. CR-6656 is converted to Case No. R-6711 and the Board hereby dismisses the application and closes its file in this matter.
By direction of the NATIONAL MEDIATION BOARD.
