DISMISSAL - WITHDRAWN DURING INVESTIGATION

The services of the National Mediation Board were invoked by the Air South Pilots Association, on August 15, 1997, to investigate and determine who may represent for the purposes of the Railway Labor Act, as provided by Section 2, Ninth, thereof, personnel described as "Pilots", employees of Air South Airlines, Inc.

Subsequently, the Board received a letter from the Air South Pilots Association, dated October 30, 1997, which stated in part as follows:

. . . the Air South Pilots' Association wishes to withdraw its application to act as representatives for the pilots of Air South, Inc.

On the basis of this letter of withdrawal referred to above, the Board hereby dismisses the application and closes its file subject to Part 1206.4 of the NMB Rules.
