The services of the National Mediation Board (NMB) were invoked by the International Brotherhood of Teamsters on December 15, 1997, to investigate and determine who may represent for the purposes of the Railway Labor Act, as provided by Section 2, Ninth, thereof, personnel described as "Flight Attendants," employees of Aloha Islandair, Inc.

At the time this application was received, these employees were not represented by any organization or individual.

The Board assigned Mediator Richard A. Hanusz to investigate.

Subsequently, the IBT, On July 22, 1998, withdrew the application.

On the basis of this withdrawal, the Board hereby dismisses the application and closes its file subject to Part 1206.4 of the NMB Rules.
