Re: Allegheny and IBT Reach Tentative Agreement

Washington, D.C. -- The National Mediation Board is pleased to announce that Allegheny Airlines and International Brotherhood of Teamsters (IBT), representing Allegheny> '> s fleet and passenger service employees, have reached a tentative contract agreement.

Mediation between Allegheny and the IBT was guided by NMB Mediator Sam Cognata. Based in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Allegheny Airlines is a wholly-owned subsidiary of USAirways Group and operates as a US Airways Express carrier.

A vote on ratification is expected to be completed by the end of November, 2001.
