NMB -- GMU Dispute Resolution Center Names Advisory Board


The Center for Advanced Study of Law and Dispute Resolution Processes at George Mason University (GMU) has appointed a group of key national leaders in the airline and railroad industries to guide and support its programs, which initially will focus on education associated with labor-management dispute resolution in the airline and railroad industries.

The center was created this summer as a partnership between the NMB and GMU's School of Law and Institute for Conflict Analysis and Resolution. "This advisory board is the foundation for the center's success in dispute resolution education," says Ronald Etters, director of the center. "The programs the board identifies will be given priority for development and implementation."

The charter members of the center's advisory board are the following. Ray Benning, director, National Airline Division, International Brotherhood of Teamsters; Emerson Bouchard, vice president, Kansas City Southern Railway Co.; Robert Brodin, vice president, Northwest Airlines Inc.; Clare Burt, manager of collective bargaining, Association of Flight Attendants; Michael H. Fleps, vice president, Burlington Northern Railroad and Santa Fe Railway Co.; William Hobgood, senior vice president, United Air Lines Inc.; Joshua M.
