Re: Polar Air Cargo and ALPA Free to Exercise Self-help

Washington, D.C. -- The National Mediation Board (NMB) confirms that Polar Air Cargo and the Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA) representing the craft and class of Pilots were unable to reach a tentative agreement today, September 16, 2005.

Pursuant to the Railway Labor Act, both parties are released from status quo as of 2:01 am EDT on September 16 and are free to exercise self-help.

The NMB remains available to resume public-interest meetings to assist the parties in moving towards an agreement.
