Re: Dowling selected as Associate General Counsel

The National Mediation Board is pleased to announce the selection of Maria-Kate (Kate) Dowling for the position of Associate General Counsel. Dowling reports for duty on September 22, 2003.

Prior to her appointment, Dowling was an Assistant Chief Counsel at the National Labor Relations Board and has held successively more responsible positions at the NLRB since 1990.

Dowling is an Honors graduate of the George Washington University Law School. She also earned dual bachelors' degrees in Computer Science and English from the University of Maryland, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
