September 6, 2011 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE NATIONAL MEDIATION BOARD Contact: NMB Public Information Line — (202) 692-5050 Re: New NMB Brunkenhoefer-Lee-Moneypenny Intern Washington, D.C. — The National Mediation Board (NMB) welcomes today, September 6, 2011, Bradley Kinkade as the latest intern under the Board’s Brunkenhoefer-Lee-Moneypenny Internship Program. The Program, established in August of 2010, is designed to introduce students in a wide range of academic disciplines to the complexities of airline and railroad labor relations. Since March of this year, Mr. Kinkade has served as a Law Clerk with the Douglas County Attorney’s Office in Omaha, Nebraska, and will continue to do so on completing his internship with the NMB. Brad is currently pursuing both a law degree (JD) as a third-year student at the Creighton University School of Law and a Masters degree for Governmental Organization and Leadership. He received a BA in Political Science in 2009 from the University of Iowa. With the NMB, he will be working on a variety of research projects for the Office of Legal Affairs. The National Mediation Board is an independent Federal agency established by the Railway Labor Act, which governs labor-management relations within two key transportation sectors of the United States and U.S. territories: the railroads and airlines.
