Re: Association of Flight Attendants & Delta Airlines

The National Mediation Board (NMB) announced that the Association of Flight Attendants (AFA) delivered signed authorization cards from flight attendants at Delta Airlines to the NMB at noon today, Wednesday, August 29, 2001. The delivery of the cards triggers an investigation by the NMB to determine whether a sufficient showing of interest has been made, and therefore whether an election to determine union representation will be conducted.

The flight attendants at Delta Airlines are currently not represented by a union. In order to demonstrate a sufficient showing of interest, the NMB must determine that at least 35% of eligible employees in the craft or class have signed authorization cards.
