Re: Emery and ALPA Reach a Tentative Agreement

The National Mediation Board confirmed that a tentative agreement was reached early Saturday morning in a collective bargaining dispute over an initial agreement between Emery Worldwide and the Air Line Pilots Association. NMB Board Member Magdalena Jacobsen oversaw the mediation effort to resolve the dispute between the carrier and its flight deck employees to bargain their first collective bargaining agreement. Jacobsen said the first NMB mediation session was held last October and that the parties had been meeting intensively since last Tuesday morning with the assistance of Senior Mediator Larry Gibbons.

Details of the agreement were withheld pending its final approval by the employees. The carrier provides global air freight, ocean forwarding and logistics services in 229 countries.
