Re: Continental Airlines and Pilot Flight Instructors Reach Tentative Agreement

The NMB is pleased to announce that Continental Airlines and its flight instructors, represented by the Air Line Pilots Association, have reached a tentative contract settlement. This agreement is the first labor contract for the Continental flight instructors. The union's Master Executive Council will be briefed on the agreement during their Aug. 13-17 meeting. Subsequently, highlights of the agreement will be sent to all the flight instructors. Upon completion of the language and MEC approval, the flight instructors will vote on the agreement.

NMB Senior Mediator, Patricia Sims, facilitated the bargaining, utilizing interest-based negotiating techniques. Specific terms of the agreement will not be disclosed pending ratification. Any further questions should be directed to the parties.
