Re: Arbitrator Notices and Section 3 Updates

Washington, DC -- The National Mediation Board’s (NMB) Office of Arbitration Services has created on its NMB website a section entitled ARBITRATOR NOTICES & SECTION 3 UPDATES. This section replaces the ARBITRATORS’ NEED TO KNOW page.

All notices relevant to arbitrators and information related to activities under Section 3 of the Railway Labor will be placed in this area. The NMB will provide in this section information on the Fiscal Year 2006 appropriation process. This section is accessible from the NMB website (www.nmb.gov) under the Arbitration button on the main website page.

The NMB will begin its annual audit of Section 3 cases on July 27, 2005. The period for the audit has been changed to coincide with the fiscal year.
