Re: IAM & AW -- United Airlines Talks

Mediation meetings, which began May 29th with United Airlines and Lodge 141 of the IAM&AW involving passenger service, ramp and stores employees, were recessed at 4:30 pm today, June 7th. Mediators to the dispute reported progress toward settlement. New meetings will be scheduled in Washington, DC, the week of June 17, 2001. The parties will use the time between sessions to analyze various economic approaches to settlement.
