Re: Two Unions Reach Tentative Agreements with the Springfield Terminal Railway

Washington, D.C. -- The National Mediation Board (NMB) is pleased to announce that the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers (BLE) and the Springfield Terminal Railway have reached a tentative contract agreement covering the craft or class of Locomotive Engineers. The United Transportation Union (UTU) also reached agreement with the same railroad covering the craft or class of Conductors. Mediation was guided by NMB Mediator Terri Brown.

These agreements are subject to union member ratification. Specific information regarding the settlement provisions should be obtained directly from the parties.
