RE: Comair and IAM&AW Mechanics Reach a Tentative Agreement

NMB Board Chairman Ernie DuBester confirmed today that a tentative agreement was reached yesterday in a collective bargaining dispute between Comair, which operates under the name of Delta Connection, and the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM&AW). The dispute involved the carrier's mechanics and related employees. DuBester said the negotiating committees for the IAM&AW and Comair had been meeting in Washington, D.C. since Monday morning with the assistance of Senior Mediator Larry Gibbons. Details of the agreement were withheld pending final approval by the involved employees. The carrier operates more than 700 flights daily to 81 cities in 29 states.
