Re: Laslett selected as Mediator

Stephen E. Crable, Chief of Staff, is pleased to announce the selection of W.L. Bradford (Brad) Laslett to fill the position of Mediator. Brad reports for duty on March 4.

Brad has been a commercial pilot since 1990 and a pilot for scheduled air carriers since 1991, most recently as a First Officer in Boeing 737's for US Airways. He has been a Master Executive Council Vice Chairman and Chairman at Business Express Airlines, a member of ALPA's National Scope Committee and the Business Express System Board of Adjustment. He was appointed by the US Trustees Office as the pilots' representative during the successful reorganization of Business Express under Chapter 11. He served as ALPA's negotiating Committee Chairman and negotiated the last collective bargaining agreement for those pilots who remained at Business Express before transferring to American Eagle. He was also the Merger Committee Chairman for the Business Express pilots during the merger with American Eagle.

Brad has a Bachelor of Science from Franklin Pierce College and a certificate in mediation from the University of Southern Maine.
