Re: UTU (SMART - Transportation Division) Reaches Agreement on 3 Short-line Railroads

Washington, D.C. — The National Mediation Board (NMB) is pleased to announce that the United Transportation Union (SMART - Transportation Division) reached tentative Collective Bargaining Agreements on January 24, 2013, for the craft or class of Train and Engine Service Employees on the three short-line railroads of Alabama & Tennessee River Railway, Georgia Florida Railway, and Nebraska, Kansas & Colorado Railway.

Mediation was guided by NMB Mediator Walter Darr.

These tentative agreements are subject to union-membership ratification. Specific information regarding these contracts should be obtained directly from the parties.
